City pool to open
The Atwood City Pool will open at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 25. Saturday hours are from 1 to 7 p.m. On Sunday, May 26, the pool will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. and provide a family swim from 5 to 7 p.m.

USDA announces CRP meeting
A public meeting to help explain the Conservation Reserve Program and its options for landowners will be held from 9 a.m., to 4 p.m., Tuesday, May 21 at the USDA Service Center at 1001 Sherman Street in Atwood.
The USDA has announced a new sign-up period for the program from May 20 to June 14.

Retirement reception set
There will be a retirement reception for Sally Lankas from 2 to 4 p.m., Monday, May 20 at the Rawlins County Elementary School cafeteria.

School to host assemblies
Rawlins County school award assemblies are planned for 9 a.m., Thursday, May 16 at the elementary school; and 9 a.m., Friday, May 17 for high school students at the high school. RCHS senior graduation is at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 19 at the gymnasium.
